TOUCH A TRUCK AND/ OR MOTORCADE REGISTRATION

This form is to register a vehicle for the Motorcade and/ or the Touch a Truck Show for our annual September 11 Memorial Event, Strikes For Stripes. This year’s event will be held on September 12, 2026. Further information for the event can be found on the event webpage.

Prior to the event we will be having a ceremonial Motorcade delivering a segment of the Twin Towers to De Witt Stadium, where we are having the the Strikes for Stripes event. The Motorcade will stage between 3:30 and 3:45 at Grand Rapids Township Fire Department on the East Beltline. The motorcade will promptly leave at 3:45 and travel down the Beltline and into the campus. The travel distance is approximately 1.5 miles and the Motorcade should be arriving on campus no later than 4:00 PM. During the Motorcade, players of the Strikes for Stripes event are invited to ride in the Motorcade.

Following the Motorcade, at 4:00 PM, their will be a brief live stream to promote the Strikes for Stripes event. Staging for the Touch a Truck show will open immmediately after the placement of the segment of the Twin Towers in the stadium. Vehicles who are a part of the Touch a Truck Show, including any vehicle staying from the Motorcade, will be parked in preparation of the Touch a Truck Show. All vehicles who are apart of the Touch a Truck will need to be static no later than 4:45 PM. Gates open for the event at 5:00 PM. At 5:00 PM we are expecting attendees to start arriving and we do not want to be parking vehicle during their arrival. The pregame ceremony for the event starts at 6:30 PM. We are requesting that any vehicles remain static until at least 6:45 PM.

We are requesting all vehicles who are planning on being in the Motorcade and the Touch a Truck show, to be available and out of service for a 3 hour time period, from 3:45 to 6:45. Units may commit to either the Motorcade or the Touch a Truck show. If units are needed to remain in service, we request you notify us, so we can contact you directly, and make arrangements as needed.
